The Tri-Pak Slo-Roll Grading Table is a specialized produce inspection and grading system engineered to improve grading accuracy while reducing operator fatigue in high-volume post-harvest packing operations. Designed for inline integration within turnkey processing facilities, the Slo-Roll table presents produce in a controlled, highly visible manner that allows workers to inspect more surface area without excessive repetitive motion over long shifts.
Unlike conventional roller grading tables that can cause produce to spin too rapidly for comfortable visual inspection, the Slo-Roll system uses a controlled differential-drive design to reduce fruit rotation while maintaining steady product movement across the grading surface. The result is improved visual evaluation and a more comfortable working pace for operators during continuous production.
At the core of the E-50 is a high-efficiency 3-phase 50 horsepower motor that drives the impeller assembly, enabling throughput of up to 5 tons of ice per hour when supplied with a consistent feed of cubed ice. The electric drive system delivers consistent torque and steady processing performance, making it well suited for applications requiring uniform flake size and predictable output rates.

The grading surface is typically configured as a 60-inch-wide roller conveyor with a dedicated 12-inch center lane for culls and a secondary grade conveyor positioned slightly above the cull lane for diversion of alternate product grades such as pinks or greens. This layout intentionally limits the worker reach zone to approximately 22 inches per side after accounting for divider brushes, allowing operators to comfortably access the grading area without excessive leaning or repetitive forward motion during extended shifts.
Beneath the rollers, a grip conveyor belt driven by a Variable Frequency Drive moves in synchronization with the roller conveyor at a slightly reduced speed while maintaining contact with the underside of the rollers. This controlled speed differential slows roller rotation compared to traditional grip-strip designs, causing produce to travel efficiently across the table while rotating more gradually so workers can visually inspect more of each fruit before making grading decisions.
Integrated overhead LED lighting provides consistent illumination across the grading surface to support accurate defect detection and improve grading consistency.
Built for continuous-duty packing environments, the Slo-Roll Grading Table is commonly deployed as a pre-grade stage following washing and before drying, as well as a primary grading stage after drying and waxing operations. Reliable, ergonomic, and designed around operator performance, the Slo-Roll system provides packers with an efficient solution for high-throughput produce inspection and quality control.
